Not everyone knows that the popular Beetle wasn’t the nickname from the beginning. From 1938, when it was first introduced, until 1967, this model was known as Type 1. Now, the only option to have your own “car for everyone” is to buy a used Volkswagen Beetle, because it is no longer produced (except the “New Beetle”, which is not quite the same). Why do people still want to have a used Volkswagen Beetle? The answer is simple – because it really is a car for everyone. Simple construction, a stunning appearance, impressive (as for its time) technological innovations and huge number of produced cars (over 21 million!) are the main reasons behind its popularity. Besides, the sound of the engine of the used Volkswagen Beetle cannot be forgotten or mistaken with another car. It is simply unique. The VW Beetle has become very popular since World War II, mostly due to its superiority to the other cars in its category – the Beetle had 34 hp rear-mounted engines, which was capable of maximum speed 115 km/h. Today, the used Volkswagen Beetle can be bought by literally everyone – assuming you’ll be able to find someone who wants to sell it to you. You can even find a rare Cabrio version, but these are few and far between.
